It is our hope that you enjoy your stay with us here in Barbados. We will make every effort to ensure that this year’s Championships meet your expectations.
Persons travelling from the Dominican Republic or Haiti will need visas for travel to Barbados. Visa applications, with supporting documents must be received no later than May 1, 2016.
Team Ambassadors will be made available to assist with all visiting teams.
Team Ambassadors will meet their assigned teams on arrival at Grantley Adams International Airport and will provide each team manager with a contact number so they can be reached for the duration of the tournament.
Registration will take place immediately upon arrival at the hotel. A CAJGC registration desk will be located within the hotel lobby where your Team Ambassador will assist with the registration process.
HOSPITALITY DESK/NOTICE BOARDS
A Hospitality Desk will be situated in the hotel lobby and will open to coincide with the morning shuttle from the hotel to the golf course. There will also be a Hospitality Desk situated at the Barbados Golf Club, open from 1:00pm until the departure of the last shuttle from the golf course. General information outside of these times can be found on tournament notice boards in the hotel lobby and at the Barbados Golf Club.
A daily shuttle service will operate between the hotel and the course according to the schedule posted at the hospitality desk and on the notice boards. Schedules may vary according to date, therefore we ask that you consult the hospitality desk and tournament notice boards regularly.
Tee-times will be posted as soon as they are available on the BGA website, hospitality desk and tournament notice boards.
All meals at the hotel are included in the tournament package. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served buffet style in the hotel’s main restaurant. Lunch for players will be provided at the host hotel on the official practice day and for the duration of the tournament instead of the golf club as previously announced; transportation to the hotel for lunch from the golf course after a round will be provided. Check the bus schedule.
The Practice range will be opened from 6:30 am until 7:00 pm each day. Each team will have an assigned bay on the range, team members are expected to use their assigned bays only.
BAG TRANSPORTATON & STORAGE
Golf bags will be transported directly from the airport to the Barbados Golf Club and stored at the club for the duration of the Championships. Player* tags will be issued to team managers on arrival.
Bags will be stored at the Barbados Golf Club immediately behind the clubhouse. Only bags that have the tournament tag will be accepted for storage.*
The Tournament Committee’s office is located at the Barbados Golf Club.
Bag carriers are provided for the 11-13 GIRLS ONLY. Assignment of bag carriers will be selected by the Tournament Committee office.
A small amounts Pull carts will be available to those who may wish to use them.
Bottled water, snacks and fruit will be available at the clubhouse and on the course.
Live scoring will be available for viewing on the tournament website www.barbadosgolfassociation.com. Please ensure that your players co-operate with the on-course volunteers by relaying their relevant information as play progresses.
Scores will be taken every three (3) holes.
