Windy conditions during the first two rounds of the Barbados National Trials
Players where out for a windy test during the first two rounds of the Barbados National Trials at Barbados Golf Club during the weekend.
Players was fighting against the elements and coming in with scores a little bit higher than normal. Experience is key in these conditions and the results reflect that.
Leiza Munn-Blakeley is showing the way in the Ladies Division with a 155 total (75, 80). She has a 11 shot lead before Lynn De Cambra Mc Cloed.
Barbados top golfer James Johnson handed in two scorecards under par in the Hoerman Cup Division with a 142 total (71, 71), 8 shots ahead of Julian Jordan who posted the best single score on the second day with a 67.
In the Mid-Amateur, E. Medford and C. Leacock posted a very good 135 (66, 69). That result will be very competitive later in the CAGC.
In Senior Men, R. Piggott and M. Haynes has the lead with a 138 (70, 68), 2 strokes ahead of N. Daisley and I. Codrington.
Finally in the Super Senior Men, B. Griffith and C. Boyea came in with a respectable 150 (73, 77).
The next two rounds will be held at Royal Westmoreland and Apes Hill Club.
The allocations are as follows:
Royal Westmoreland: Hoerman Cup Division, Ladies Division & Mid-Amateur
Apes Hill Club: Senior Men, Super Senior Men
Starting times at both locations are 10:00am with the following Tee positions:
Hoerman Cup & Mid-Amateur: Gold
Apes Hill Club
Senior Men: White/Medal
Super Senior Men:Yellow/Members
The draw for the 3rd round will be published on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 and will be seeded within player category.
