Barbados players James Johnson and Julian Jordan didn't make the top 50 after 2 days of play in the Latin American Amateur Championship in Chile.
Johnson was very close to make the top 50 and the cut. The cut line was hovering between +8 and +9 and with 2 holes to play Johnson was +7. He collected a bogey on his 17th hole (hole 8) but at that time his +8 would bring him in to the final two days of play. A steady par on the last hole but then the cut line changed to +8 and Johnson was out of the tournament.
Jordan had a steeper climb to make the cut and after a triple bogey on his 4th hole (hole 13), the dream of making the cut was more or less over. Jordan scored an 83, 12 over par compered to the 1st day 80.
"I'ts not the result I was hoping for" say Jordan. "I was hoping to improve from yesterday but I haven't been my best driving from tee and that have costed me dear."
